To Prolong the Life: Triennial Exhibition of International New Media Art was held at National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) on July 26th. The exhibition gave prominence to two key words, "Life" and "Ecology", which covered three themes, viz. "the Shock of Astonishment", "the Point of Transition" and "the Endangered City" and the special works of "weather tunnel". 53 works of 80 artists from 23 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Belgium, Australia and Latvia participated in the exhibition and fully displayed the new media art works at the international front.
Zhang Ga, the planner remarked that it required the curiosity to watch this exhibition, which would not only bring the great visual impact on the audiences, but also usher in great brain waves. It was said that NAMOC would start with this exhibition, aim at the trend of international new media art development and hold the great exhibition every 3 years in order to make it as the routine one. Thus, NAMOC could become the platform of international new media art show and exchange.
