On July 17, Chinese version of puppet theatre Alice in Wonderland premiered in Tandarica Puppet Theatre in Bucharest Romania, which witnessed a full accommodation of 200 audiences.
Adapted by Romanian playwright and director Alice Barb from the famous fairy tale of the English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, this told about a little girl Alice’s adventure when she entered a magic world in dream. Both performers and puppets from Cen Deli puppet theatre performed this fairy tale against the blue and white stage backdrop. One feature to mention was that the whole performance was dubbed in Chinese by working staff from Romania Radio International Department of Chinese Program and Chinese students in Romania. Reportedly such a kind of bilingual cooperation was the very first time in Romania.
