Resumé of Forte Pakeong Sequeira
Upon university graduation, FortePakeong Sequeira took up graphic design at the beginningof his amateur career in arts. In 2008, he quit his job of design and became a full-time art worker. In 2010, he appeared as an improvising artist in the event of “Arts in Beijing” for the first time, and from then on, he traveled with his pens and canvas to Macao, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Malaysia, Singapore, Lisbon, New York and Taiwan, and presented his personal exhibitions on many occasions. In 2015, his autobiography titled “Tempered Experience” along with his collection album was issued. Besides visual arts creation, Forte Pakeong Sequeira is the singer ofBlademarkband, mainly in charge of lyrics, composition and singing. This band frequently stages performances in Macao, Beijing, Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Australia and Taiwan.

"Crack—Forte Pakeong Sequeira's Artworks" exhibition, part of "MacaoArtists Promotion Plan" sponsored by Macao Foundation, was heldat Exhibition Hall of Macao Center of Education, Science and Culturefrom August 3 till 13. Along with this exhibition consisting of some 60 selectedworks by Macao artist Forte Pakeong Sequeira, the same-name album wasissued simultaneously.
Distinguished guests such as Mr. SHAO Bin, assistant director of Departmentof Culture and Education of Central Liaison Office in Macao, Mr. WU Zhiliang,president of Macao Foundation, Mr. Carlos Marreiros, president of AlbergueSCM, Mr. UNG Vai Meng, a senior artist in Macao, José Luis De Sales Marques,president of Institute of European Studies of Macao, Lucia Lemos, director ofCreative Macao, Lucie Chang, curator of this exhibition as well as founder ofLucie Chang Fine Arts, attended the opening ceremony.
With this exhibition, the author intended to bring audiences, in temporaryoblivion of time existence, into a minimum perspective of a tiny ant duringa tour of various cracks. Cracks have indicate different countless fracturesbetween people, objects, stories, time and space, which showcaseimperfection as well as living dimensions whose size can be expanded ornarrowed according to views and perspectives. Those freely scattering linesbring about one crack after another in different sizes, which representsfreedom and living vitality just like the aesthetic blank advocated in traditionalChinese painting.
